About the artist…

Boy Apocalypse is the alter ego of Grant Genske, a Bay-Area-based songwriter, singer, producer and DJ. Combining an electronic artist's production sensibilities with intimate pop vocals and visceral lyric writing, Boy Apocalypse has carved out a sound that is one part EDM and one part pop.

In his first EP released in 2022, Queer Cyborg, Boy Apocalypse laid out an allegory for the 5 stages of grief, using the threat of global war as an allegory for his own struggle with identity. Throughout 2022, Boy Apocalypse teamed up with EDM heavyweights like Adventure Club and Bear Grillz to release a string of successful features and closed out the year with the release of B2K with Boy Untitled. Their collaborative effort - BOY2K - has enjoyed viral and critical success, with their music being described by Dancing Astronaut as a “kaleidoscopic tapestry”and Wonderland as “addicting” and “sonically expansive." The members of BOY2K have been noted as “artists to watch” by such publications as Billboard, Earmilk, EDM Tunes, Gaytimes, NYLON, and OUT!
